As I mentioned before, I was very, very, woefully, embarrassingly late to Pearl Jam’s greatness. “Black” is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. I vaguely remember hearing this on 95-TripleX, our local pop/alt-lite radio station. But then 30 years passed and I actually sat down and listened. I’ve always been drawn to Eddie Vedder’s voice. I walking out of a movie Nicolette and I saw and stopped dead hearing him sing “Hard Sun” during the trailer for the film Into the Wild and had to walk in and see what I was hearing.
