#208 of 366: Dog Days of Summer, Olivver the Kid

“Life goes by, like the dog days of summer, the sun may set, but you still hear the thunder, life goes by, it’s an alligator death roll, starts at the surface, ends up in depths below”

Love that little section.

Did you get the ice cream?

Maybe an Easter Egg, but the reference to “a silence in three parts” is verbatim how author Patrick Rothfuss styles his prologues and epilogues in the two current books of the Kingkiller Chronicle series, Name of the Wind, and The Wise Man’s Fear.

If you like fantasy fiction, I highly recommend.

Have a wonderful day!

Be good, do good.

  1. ooooo! I’ve had the Kingkiller Chronicles on my list for a very long time. I’d forgotten actually when I heard about them and added them… thanks for the reminder! Also I failed at the ice cream, so I’ll remedy that today!
