Catching Up

My lack of posting lately is akin to the cramps I got at the end of my second and maybe last half-marathon.

I’m just busy with a lot, as we can all relate with, and am giving myself the time I need.

I wish that for all of you. It’s ok to break things up into more manageable parts and also ok to take a break.

I’ll get caught up and we’ll finish 2024 strong! Thanks for being here!

Be good, do good.

This song packs an incredible amount of punch in a very tiny 2:38 runtime.

I’ve been a little lax of late. Things have been busy/productive of late, and I’m well aware that we’re somewhat limping to the finish line here. LOL

I’m honestly super proud of myself for keeping this little song a day (average, 😉 ), ceremonial going. This has been like writing in a diary in some ways.

Thanks for joining me on that journey! Where we going next?

Be good, do good.

#329 of 366: JIGGA, Marqus Clae

Back from an impromptu holiday break. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Discovered Marqus last year with the song and just liked the flow and beat. He’s definitely confident…his top track on Spotify is “Kendrick, Clae, & Cole” and he certainly does some name-dropping describing the company he think he’s in. Time will tell! Looking forward to more!

#327 of 366: Socks, Chrissy

“I feel better as a baby on your back, holding onto atoms and a past, you would steal by socks and wear them just to sleep, so how could you wake up and get cold feet (keep me up to date), why’re you moving on, I’ll be right back, you’ve got some new love, who gave you that, why’re you moving on, and how’d you do it so fast?”

I think the idea of stealing someone’s socks to wear them to sleep is the cutest thing I’ve ever heard of. It gives middle-school learning how to flirt vibes.

I get nostalgic for that time sometimes. Things were simpler…

Be good, do good. Miss your face.

#326 of 366: Cut Yr Teeth, Kississippi

“The person you made yourself out to be, would feel sorry for what you have done to me, like scrapped sheet metal shaves ivories, you started out slow but you cut your teeth, you cut your teeth”

Kississippi is absolutely worth a deep dive. Zoe Reynolds can weave back and forth between sweet and bitter seamlessly. I’m here for it.

Forty more posts to go!

#325 of 366: The Worst Person Alive, G Flip

Quite the “people change” song here. Artist Georgia Flipo rocks from start to finish. Enjoy that pounding percussion!

“Now I’m the worst person alive, now I’m the one making you cry, now I’m the one losing my mind, now I’m the one burning inside, now I’m stuck thinking tonight, who the hell’s by your side, and why, after all this time, am I the worst person, I’m the worst person, I’m the worst person alive”

Be good, do good. Love ya.

#324 of 366: Soon, Angie McMahon

I can’t hear enough of Angie McMahon.

Her songwriting and performance feel painfully authentic. If you can relate to any part of the song, it hits hard.

“I can’t let you sweep me off my feet just yet, when they’ve only just landed firmly on the ground, and I’m so tired of being messed around, you’ve watched me shift my shape and fall into this mess, well, maybe you could wait for me, I’ll do my best, to get out of this dreary place, I’ll have to face this loneliness”

Today’s take away is you’re not alone. Here if you need me.
