#281 of 366: Vampire, Olivia Rodrigo

As I’ve mentioned in other posts featuring her, Rodrigo has her finger on the pulse of relationships, especially so for Gen-Z I think. Her song writing resonates though, I think with older listeners like me as well.

It all seems authentic to me…and true to what even the experience in HS for me was. Her debut album, Sour, was excellent. Check out how many listens she has for that one.

Yeah, that’s billions with a B.

This part of Vampire though, slaps.

“I’ve made some real big mistakes, but you make the worst one look fine, I should’ve known it was strange, you only come out at night, I used to think I was smart, but you made me look so naive, the way you sold me for parts, as you sunk your teeth into me, oh, bloodsucker, famefucker, bleedin’ me dry, like a goddamn vampire”

That is a red-hot poker there in bold.

Well done, Olivia.

Be good, do good!
